"Desert Wind" is a hanging kinetic wind sculpture. It is suitable for a front porch, back porch, the eves of a house, a patio, etc. Many of the parts that make up this art piece are historical in nature. The weathered sheet metal came from a very old billboard that once stood south of Reno. The rusty springs are from a Nevada ghost town. The rusty wire is from Nevada's Black Rock Desert. The large diameter axle wire is from an old telegraph line. Copper tubing with a blue/green patina is used to support the paddles.
