Commissioned by the Port of San Diego in 2009, "Perpetual Motion" was part of the Port's year-long Urban Trees public art program. The Port's consistent ocean breeze meant that this wind-driven sculpture was indeed in perpetual motion. Once the year-long program was over the sculpture came back to my studio. In 2011 I brought "Perpetual Motion" to the Blackrock Desert for the week-long Burning Man festival (see picture). This robust sculpture is made of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
